Here are just some of the ways we’re delivering our mission:

  •   We are the influential, independent voice of the nursery sector. Through our Childcare Challenge, we are campaigning national Government, on behalf of our members, to secure a choice of high quality and affordable childcare for children and parents everywhere.
  • We’re helping practitioners to be confident and have fun with maths, English and SEND through our Champions projects. Every one of our member nurseries taking part has reported increased confidence in maths. Thanks to its success, we’ve extended the project to include English Champions.
  • Our quality improvement scheme, e-Quality Counts, is the only quality improvement scheme specifically for nurseries. When our member nurseries achieve e-Quality Counts, it recognises that they’re demonstrating exemplary childcare, above and beyond the requirements of the regulators such as Ofsted.
  • We advise our members whenever there’s a change in policy that affects them, in easy to understand format and language, with clear advice on what action to take.
  • The annual NDNA Nursery Awards highlight the fantastic work and care that nurseries and practitioners provide to one million children and their families across the UK.
  • The NDNA Annual Nursery Survey helps us to understand the current challenges facing the sector as a whole, and to respond by campaigning for national government to make the changes that will make a real difference.
  • Our Early Years Advisers regularly develop training material to give members the latest, most relevant advice, in an easy to understand format.
  • We help thousands of people to learn about the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a free introductory course and an expanding library of training on everything from recruiting staff to child development super skills.
  • We have a wealth of expert publications, procedures and templates available to guide you and to help you to run a thriving, successful business.
