Workshops - developing efficient, flexible, affordable, sustainable, high quality childcare 

A series of workshops were held to promote partnerships between Early Years providers and Schools to deliver childcare provision.

These essential sessions demonstrated how early years providers and schools successfully work in close partnership  to ensure best outcomes for children.  This includes how they work together to deliver free early years places for two, three and four year olds, effective transitions and wrap around care.

Literacy Champions Project 

Literacy Champions LogoWe recruited local Literacy Champions to support practitioners in developing their own skills, and skills in English through play for under 5s. 

Although the project has now finished, you can register to be involved next year 

Maths Champions Project 

Maths Champions LogoWe recruited local Maths Champions to support practitioners in developing their own skills, and skills in maths through play for under 5s. 

Although the project has now finished, NDNA now offer a paid-for Maths Champions scheme with a full suite of support.

SEN Champions Project 

SEND Champions LogoWe recruited SEN coordinators as SEND Champions within early years settings. They had access to guidance and support via training, publications and best practice guides. This enabled them to support parents accessing early education entitlement and supporting individual practitioners across the whole setting for children between 0-5.

Paediatric First Aid Case Studies 

First AidWe created 12 paediatric first aid case studies identifying best practice regarding the assessment and training of practitioners within early years settings.
