NDNA recognises the challenges settings can face with supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The latest EYFS Profil
e results showed that children with SEN need more support in the early years - just 24% of pupils with SEN achieved a good level of development in 2017/18; this is 53% lower than pupils without SEN (77%).
NDNA's SEND Champions programme will help to build the confidence and skills of your practitioners in SEND provision:
- Includes structured activities and online training
- It is led by your 'Champion' member of staff
- Builds your practitioners' confidence in SEND provision, to further support children with additional needs at your setting
- It is initially a year-long programme, with the option to extend.
Note: this programme is relevant for England-only settings.
