The NDNA Nursery Awards are the only awards voted for by parents and carers. They acknowledge and celebrate the fantastic work and care that nurseries and practitioners provide to over one million children and their families in the UK.

Find out more about the different awards categories below. The awards will be presented at a special awards ceremony on 19 June 2014 at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester. The winners will receive some fabulous prizes thanks to our generous sponsors.

NDNA Nursery of the Year 2014, supported by Hope Education

Hope Education

Five regional/national winners will be crowned and one of these will go on to win NDNA Nursery of the Year 2014. The overall UK winner will win £1,000 of vouchers to spend on Hope Education resources and toys for their nurseries.

Regional/national winners representing Scotland, Wales, Central England, North of England and South of England will each win £400 of resource vouchers.

NDNA Healthy Nursery of the Year 2014

Nurseries play a vital role in ensuring children are happy and healthy. This brand new award for 2014 celebrates those nurseries that promote the importance of healthy lifestyles for children through play and fun.

The NDNA Healthy Nursery of the Year 2014 will win £400 to spend on their nursery.

NDNA Nursery Practitioner of the Year 2014

Awarded to an outstanding member of staff who is passionate about caring for children and shows true dedication to quality. Voted for by parents and carers and supported by the manager, the NDNA Nursery Practitioner of the Year 2014 will win £200 worth of shopping vouchers for themselves and £200 for their nursery.

NDNA Nursery Sector Champions 2014, supported by Citation

The NDNA Nursery Sector Champion award highlights the work of individuals and organisations and thanks them for their continued efforts and achievements. The award is open to anyone working in or with the nursery sector including NDNA members, volunteers, local authority staff and the media.
