I am a parent

When you choose a nursery for your child, you want to be sure you’re making the right choice.

You need to feel that it’s well-organised and safe, cooks fresh, nutritious meals and genuinely cares about each and every child in its care.

If your child is settled, having fun and learning important new skills, as well as learning how to socialise with other children, you can relax and get on with your day, confident that they’re in good hands.

How a nursery can help your child to develop

Studies have shown that children who attend nurseries are more confident, as they socialise with other children from an early age and also go on to do better at school.

Great nurseries work hard to help your child have a great start in life. They will guide and support your child through their first steps into literacy, maths, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.

The ‘key person approach' gives your child one main carer who helps them feel safe, secure and ready to learn and understand about the world around them. Plus you’ll have one key person who understands your child, and can tell you all about their progress each day.

"I think NDNA is a great organisation, doing a good job helping us parents to get our views and needs heard by the Government so they know what we are saying before decisions are made that affect us all.”
