Long pathway
For those working in childcare who hold an Open University Level 5 Foundation Degree in early years
To be eligible for the Long EPD Pathway, candidates must already hold a Foundation Degree (level 5) or a full level 6 degree and be working in a private, voluntary or independent early years setting. Candidates working in Children’s Centres or as Childminders or local authority development workers may also be eligible for entry to the pathway.
Candidates must have obtained Grade A-C in Maths and English GCSE before entering the final assessment process, being 12 months after commencement (January 2011).
The next Long Pathway commences in January 2010. Prospective candidates should complete and submit an Expression of Interest form to NDNA. As part of the pathway, candidates must show evidence of working with babies, toddlers and young children.
