Update: NDNA 2020 Awards cancelled
Based on the Government’s latest advice and guidance on the developing situation around Coronavirus/COVID-19, NDNA has decided to cancel its 2020 Conference and Awards until next year.
This decision has been taken based on Prime Minster Boris Johnson’s caution against unnecessary travel and contact with others, to ensure we protect the health and well-being of members, partners and NDNA staff.
We are very sorry to bring you this news, especially to all the 200 plus nurseries that entered our 2020 Awards scheme and gave so much time and effort to writing their entries and encouraging parents to vote.
Our Awards are reliant upon visits to settings, which we cannot undertake at the moment – unfortunately we are unable to shortlist using a different method as it wouldn’t be fair (especially to entrants in previous years).
We’re deeply saddened that we couldn’t go ahead with this year’s Conference and Awards and give the recognition that so many nurseries and staff deserve, but we continue to support our members through this difficult time and shine a light on the sector’s amazing work through other ways - such as our #ThankOurNurseries and #ThankOurNurseryWorkers social media campaigns and by sharing our members’ videos, photos and stories.
I can’t tell you how disappointed we all are at NDNA. We will be arranging a full refund for all tickets – either direct to your payment card or we will be in touch to arrange this.
Please rest assured we are doing all we can to support you our members in this most difficult and challenging time.
We thank you for your support and please do not hesitate to ring the NDNA team on 01484 407070 if you have a specific question about the Conference and Awards.
We will be keeping in touch with you by email and on our social media feeds – so do please keep checking them for updates. You can also find all the latest guidance and support on the situation regarding coronavirus and early years on our dedicated webpages at www.ndna.org.uk/coronavirus
Yours sincerely,
