Literacy Champions Programme
Literacy Champions Programme
Literacy is the lowest achieving area of learning for the early years 2015/16, you can make a difference to children’s literacy outcomes by joining our Literacy Champions programme.

NDNA's Literacy Champions nine step programme will ensure children in your setting are able to enjoy exciting, stimulating literacy experiences to develop a strong foundation for reading and writing.

This Literacy Champions programme will help to build the confidence and skills of your practitioners through structured activities and online training.

It is led by your 'Champion' member of staff and builds your practitioners' confidence in developing and supporting your Literacy provision. It is initially a year-long programme, with the option to extend.

The programme includes:

  • Audits around your literacy practice, knowledge and confidence followed by action plans to develop your practice across all areas of literacy
  • Access to a whole host of support materials on our dedicated online Literacy Champions Development Zone area
  • Online training courses for your Champion and up to six of your staff
  • Webinars on a range of literacy related topics for you to watch at a time convenient to you and your team
  • A closed Literacy Champions Facebook group to network with other Champions and share ideas
  • Upon completion, a certificate of participation to demonstrate your dedication to developing literacy provision for the children at your setting.
Our Champions programmes are CPD UK certified, so they’ll count towards your continuing professional development too!
