Exploring Children's Schemas

NDNA Scotland training

Learn how to support children’s schematic behaviour.

Course details

Duration: Half Day
Who should attend: All childcare practitioners

What will I learn?

Whilst children play and learn they exhibit patterns of behaviours. These patterns of behaviour are known as 'Schemas'. This course will help practitioners to gain an understanding of children’s schematic behaviour and how to effectively support this within the setting.

Key topics:

  • Link theories on play, learning and development and schemas to current practice
  • Types of schematic behaviour you may observe
  • Supporting schematic behaviours through enabling environments
  • Helping parents to support schematic behaviour in the home environment.

Prices are based on up to 16 delegates (we recommend 10 as a minimum). A small extra charge applies for extra delegates. You will receive a certificate of attendance to demonstrate your ongoing professional development.
