What will I learn?

The aim of the course is to provide a basic overview and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Early Years Outcomes, Development Matters and the Ofsted inspection framework. This will further develop your knowledge and understanding of high-quality provision for the children in your care.

This course is free for NDNA members and is ideal for those new to the sector.

    Key topics:

  • Be able to implement the educational programmes and the learning and development requirements
  • Know about the overarching principles of the EYFS and what the early learning goals are
  • Understand assessment in the EYFS
  • Explore the safeguarding and welfare requirements
  • Understand your role in meeting the safeguarding and welfare requirements.

Duration: 2-3 hour
